Little did I know that Dylan had been planning and sweating for a while before he popped the question. But after many changed plans due to Covid, Dylan proposed on a trip away with friends for my Birthday. It took me by surprise and was so special being in front of our closest friends.

Your words of wisdom to any couple getting married?

Do your day your way!

Work out what’s important to you as a couple for your day. One of the most helpful things for us at the beginning of planning was both separately writing down the 5 most essential aspects of the day to us. Then we came together to see what we should prioritise in the planning process, like having our family there, having a great dance floor etc.

Also, take a moment by yourselves sometime during the day to stop and take it all in.
