How did he pop the question?
Nick held off from asking the question for 10 years and I was starting to think it wouldn’t happen! For our 10-year anniversary, Nick organized a beautiful surprise weekend away at the Shangri-la Hotel in Sydney. He’d booked the penthouse suite with dinner at the restaurant. The plan was for us to walk back into the suite and there would be rose petals everywhere and on the bed saying ‘will you marry me?’ When we walked into the room there were no flowers to be seen and, obviously, I was none the wiser so started getting ready for bed. When I turned around, Nick’s face was white and he ran into the other rooms looking for the flowers, he then came running back in and said: “If you want something done right you have to do it yourself!”. He then dropped down on one knee and proposed.

Your biggest tip to any couple getting married?
Get a wedding planner! I was not stressed at all while we were planning everything or on the day. I had no last-minute running around and I could just enjoy every moment! Katie looked after me and I couldn’t have done it without her help, particularly being from Sydney, it made the whole process so seamless.
