How did they pop the question?

Dave surprised me on a small bush walk at Fingal Light House. He popped the question while sitting watching the sunset. He then walked me down to Dreamtime beach at Fingal Heads, where he had organised a beautiful picnic.

What song was your first dance to?

We don’t like being in the spot light, so dancing in front of a crowd wasn’t really our style. But our entrance song to the reception was ‘You Make My Dreams’ by Daryl Hall.

Your biggest tip to any couple getting married?

 1) Don’t forget to add 10% to 20% to your budget (like building a house).

2) Hire a wedding planner! It will be worth every cent!

Describe your day in three words...

Went too fast!

Arctic Fox helped with…

Our Florals – our first florist (and cake maker closed her business and cancelled 6 weeks before our wedding) it was a stressful situation, we’re so lucky we found you!

Other awesome suppliers were…

I’m a very strong believer in supporting local business. So I was adamant on finding and using local suppliers. Every vendor we used are local to our home city on The Gold Coast. Minus our photographer who we flew up from Sydney.

Celebrant/MC : Toni Paget – I cannot recommend her enough!

Photographer: Alex Marks – We set our wedding date around his schedule we wanted him THAT badly! He is incredibly talented and a friend.

Hair: Petula Jade  – Great communication, straight to the point and incredibly talented.

Make up: Jenna Bellhouse – So skilled and so patient.

Food: Culinary Catering – Chef Paul was awesome. 20 years experience and really helped guide us.

Furniture/decor: Hampton Hire

Dress: Pearl Bridal

Veil: Madame Tulle

Katie & Andreas

We decided to get married on a road trip down to Sydney where we stopped at small towns over a few days and would ride our bikes to explore the town. It was the happiest little holiday!

Nathan proposed to me in our garage one night after work. I was in the middle of having a shower when the power turned off, and Nathan screamed out, ‘HELP!’.
