How did they pop the question?
Adam asked me to marry him on New Year’s Eve while watching the fireworks in London. We were about to start our long distance as Adam was relocating to London and I was heading back to Australia.
I made a very poor footwear choice and wanted to head back to the apartment to watch the fireworks on TV, but Adam was adamant he wanted to stay for the fireworks. After much convincing, we stood and waited for the fireworks to begin and that’s when Adam asked.
What song was your first dance to?
Our first song was the Taron Egerton version of “your song”. We both loved the Rocketman movie. It was the movie I watched on my way home from London when leaving Adam, and I cried listening to this song when it played during the film. I knew it had to be our song.
Your biggest tip to any couple getting married?
Our biggest tip is to stop and soak in the little moments together. Make sure you schedule some time alone to just talk about the significance of the day and share in your happiness / excitement.
Also, it all goes by so quickly and there is no point in sweating the small things – only you know what’s not there.
Describe your day in three words...
Perfect, treasured, cheerful
